One of the liveliest events at the annual Clay - Widen night is the Silent Auction, and it's not too early to start thinking about how you can contribute to the event.  The silent auction will be held Saturday evening September 17, 2005 after the social hour.

When pondering your donation, consider that bidders may purchase donations for a variety of reasons, including personal enjoyment, as a gift for a family member, relative, friend, wedding or colleague at work.

There is no end to what you can donate.  Below are a few suggestions:

• Hand-crafted items
• Holiday items
• Gift Baskets
• Lowe's gift cards
• Gas gift cards
• Movie gift cards
• Sports items
• Restaurant gift cards
• Mini weekend vacations

Auction items can be turned in at the School Board Office prior to Saturday night. Remember that your donation is tax deductible.  Proceeds fund our scholarship program. This years' auction is sure to produce some great gifts. It is through the generous support that we are able to make great strides in helping with scholarships. Your generosity is what allows us to fulfill our mission and affect so many students. No donation is too small!  

Remember this - a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop.  But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.
